2025 Annual Alumni Forum & Dinner - Save the Date

Registration opening in 2025!  Wharton and UPenn alumni who are private equity, venture capital, and other private alternative investors or allocators are invited to attend this marquee event.

 

Wharto2025-dinnern Private Equity & Venture Capital Alumni Association (WPEVC) is excited to invite our global community to join us at the Annual Alumni Forum & Dinner this Spring in New York.  

This must-attend event attracts 200 WPEVC alumni to re-connect and re-engage around the common bond of the Wharton/UPenn education and the private alternative investment industry. 
 

Highlights of the event include:
 
  • Afternoon panels featuring alumni or subject matter experts covering topics that are top of mind to an audience of investors and allocators
     
  • Networking opportunities interspersed between programs
     
  • A featured keynote speaker related to the business of PE/VC
     
  • A reception-style dinner featuring an open bar, food stations and themed meet-up areasto optimize networking
     
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Scott Kleinman (W'94), Co-President, Apollo Asset Management

Join us for a dynamic discussion with Scott Kleinman, who serves as Co-President of Apollo Asset Management, Inc., co-leading Apollo’s day-to-day operations including all of Apollo’s revenue-generating businesses and enterprise solutions across its integrated alternative investment platform.
 
Mr.kleinman Kleinman joined Apollo six years after its inception in 1996, and was named Lead Partner for Private Equity in 2009 prior to being named Co-President in 2018. Mr. Kleinman serves on Apollo’s Executive Committee.Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Kleinman was a member of the Investment Banking division at Smith Barney Inc. He serves on the board of directors of Apollo Global Management, Inc. and Athora Holding Ltd.

In 2014, Mr. Kleinman founded the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Board of Advisors at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design and the Board of Directors at the White Plains Hospital. Mr. Kleinman received a BA and BS from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business, respectively, graduating magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.

Membership Eligibility: 
Wharton Private Equity & Venture Capital Alumni Association is open to private equity, venture capital, or other private alternative investors or allocators AND who have graduated from The Wharton School or the University of Pennsylvania.  

Investment professionals include those who are investing equity capital in venture-stage companies, growth equity, buyouts, real estate, take-privates, or secondaries from a dedicated firm, family office, institutional limited partners, or professionals who manage third-party fund-of-funds targeting the private equity and venture capital space.  Mezzanine debt /private debt and angel investors who invest actively in private companies may also qualify. 

Cancellation Policy: 
Cancellations must be received via email to jsimons@wpevc.org by 9:00 PM ET Friday, March 28, 2024, to receive a refund, less a $15 processing fee. Substitutions are welcome in advance or on-site but guests must meet the membership eligibility outlined above.

Dress Code: 
A jacket and collared shirt are required for men. Women should dress with equal formality.  Jeans are not permitted.
