Welcome to the 25th Annual Wharton Private Equity & Venture Capital Conference
The Wharton School’s 25th Annual Private Equity & Venture Capital Conference (“Conference”) will take place on Friday, March 22nd, 2019 at the New York Athletic Club in New York City.
The Wharton Private Equity & Venture Capital Conference is the leading MBA-organized industry conference and the only PE/VC conference to be held in New York City among the top three business schools globally. The Conference has been a key event in the industry’s calendar for the past 25 years, attracting over 400 attendees annually and bringing together speakers, panelists, and participants who are recognized industry leaders, as well as students from top MBA programs. Over 50% of our attendees are Partners, MDs, or VPs (or equivalent), and many are key decision makers within their organizations.
After 25 years of success, this year’s conference theme is a tribute to our silver anniversary and is intended to spark discussions amongst attendees, keynote speakers, panelists, and moderators alike:
Finding the Silver Lining: This year, the conversation will center around “finding the silver lining”. Given the growing feeling that the market is experiencing a calm before the storm, it’s important now, more than ever, for private equity professionals to find a way to find the silver lining. In an overvalued market and with the speculation of a potential downturn, the Conference is intended to bring together leading minds in the private equity and venture capital industries to discuss how to capitalize on opportunities as we move forward into this complex landscape.
Past keynote speakers include:

Leon Black – Co-Founder and CEO, Apollo

Scott Kleinman – Co-President, Apollo

Annie Lamont – Managing Partner, Oak HC/FT

Joseph Landy – Co-CEO, Warburg Pincus

Tom Lister – Co-Managing Partner, Permira

Bennett Rosenthal – Co-Head of Private Equity and Co-Founder, Ares

David Rubenstein – Co-Founder, The Carlyle Group

This year's panels will include: Buyouts, Consumer, Distressed & Special Situations, Healthcare, Impact Investing & ESG, LP & Fundraising, Private Credit, Real Estate, and Venture Capital.
