Bill Weil (W '98, ENG '98)

Bill is a Partner at Greencoat Capital, a specialist resource efficiency asset manager, with c.$2 billion AUM across both infrastructure and private equity. Based in London, Bill covers the full range of activities including origination, execution and portfolio management for their Northern European, Lower-/Mid-Market PE fund.
Previously, Bill was the Chief Investment Officer at Ludgate Investments, where he led the investment team, set the investment strategy and was director for eight portfolio companies. Prior to joining Ludgate in 2008, he was responsible for Strategy and Portfolio for Royal Dutch Shell in their renewable energy division and then moved into private equity investing working with VantagePoint Capital Partners. He has deep experience in sustainability strategy and of working with both SMEs and large corporations.
Bill graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, with undergraduate degrees from both Wharton and the School of Engineering (M&T program), and has an MBA from INSEAD.
