Joseph Acevedo is a Principal at Pharos Capital Group, LLC, a private equity firm focused on middle market buyouts, growth equity and mezzanine investments. In this role, he is responsible for sourcing, diligence, execution, and monitoring of portfolio company investments. Prior to joining Pharos in 2006, Mr. Acevedo was Director of Business Development at Univision Communications, Inc. where he launched and managed the company’s home entertainment division. Previously, Mr. Acevedo was an equity research analyst at JP Morgan covering the telecommunications and media industries. Mr. Acevedo began his career as a financial analyst with Merrill Lynch & Co. where he was involved with structuring and executing debt transactions for government municipalities. Mr. Acevedo graduated from Harvard College with an A.B., cum laude, in Government and holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School where he was a Robert Toigo Foundation fellow. Mr. Acevedo is co-chair of the Wharton Private Equity Partners’ Texas chapter, chair of the membership committee for the New America Alliance, and a member of the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations.
