Bruce Schulman - (WG '99)

Bruce Schulman is a Managing Director at NGP Energy Technology Partners, which manages approximately $500 million and invests in manufacturing, service, and distribution companies that sell products and services to the energy industry. He is focused on middle market buyouts.
Previously Bruce led the energy investing effort at Allied Capital, the $4.5 billion publicly traded private equity investment firm, focusing on middle market buyouts. At Allied, Bruce was focused on transactions in the energy, business services, and consumer spaces. He was involved in sourcing, executing, and oversight of several transactions he completed while at Allied.
After graduating from Harvard College with an AB in East Asian Studies, he was a Financial Analyst at Bechtel Enterprises, the investment and financing arm of the Bechtel Group, focusing on the energy and transportation sectors. After obtaining an MA in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins SAIS and an MBA from The Wharton School, Bruce worked for J.P. Morgan Capital in New York, where he focused on middle market buyout and growth investments in the basic industry, distribution, and consumer/retail sectors. Following J.P. Morgan Capital, he worked for Saw Mill Capital, a middle market buyout firm focused on the energy industry.
