Seeking Alumni Support: New WEMBA Fund of Funds

A group of Wharton twenty7-venturesExecutive MBA (WEMBA) Class of 2027 students is working to establish Twenty7 Ventures, a student-led, WEMBA-run alternatives fund-of-funds with a dual mission: provide Wharton alumni and affiliates with access to a curated portfolio of private-market investments, and to create a disciplined, real-world allocator platform for WEMBA students through actual capital deployment.

The team is currently gauging interest for a $3–5 million target fund, with plans to make 6–10 commitments across private equity, venture capital, real estate, and other private-market alternatives. Subject to sufficient interest, the fund would launch and close in Q1 2026. Twenty7 Ventures intends to operate on an at-cost administrative fee model only, with no performance fees, targeting institutional-style outcomes.

The organizing team is seeking alumni support for this initiative, particularly from alumni interested in participating as LPs or helping increase awareness within the Wharton community.
