Investment Professional

Job Description:
MonCap is seeking an experienced investment professional to join its team. Candidates should have at least 4 years of finance experience, including at least 2 years on the buyside.

MonCap is a value-centric investment firm backed by some of the world’s largest family offices and institutions. We aim to partner with exceptional companies that have proven business models and a path to transformational growth. Founded in 2021, our firm is located in Boulder, CO and focuses on applying a private equity discipline to the growth markets.

This role is a partner-track and best suited for an entrepreneurial-minded individual.
• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Boulder, CO
Background on MonCap:
MonCap invests $10-$100 million per deal as the result of carefully cultivated relationships, proprietary access, exhaustive diligence and a track record of positively influencing outcomes. We avoid a barbell approach that assumes most companies in a portiolio will fail; instead, we are highly intentional, concentrating time, resources and capital behind a select number of transactions per year. We aim to deliver our investors attractive and consistent returns over the long term.

We are a close-knit team that cares deeply about the success of MonCap. Our culture is extremely low ego; we pursue collective answers and solutions versus individual recognition and praise. We listen to each other. We support each other. We teach each other. We grow together.

Our Ideal Candidate:
Grit: you’re goal-oriented and purpose-driven; you’ll put in the work to become the best
Resilient: you maintain your grit when things go wrong or seem impossible

Humble: you’re modest in your approach and how you represent the firm
Entrepreneurial: you’re a self-starter that’s constantly looking for beter ways of doing things
Responsible: you’re an owner, not a renter
Builder: you enjoy having a meaningful role in developing things from the ground up
Talented: you’re really good at what you do
Fun: you want to work with a close-knit group of people that also like being together outside of the office

• At least 4 years of financial work experience, including:
